Happy 80th Birthday Grandma Speth!

We had a very happy celebration today to celebrate Grandma Beth Speth's 80th Birthday. Beth Chambers Speth was born and raised in Smithfield, Utah. She was the 11th of 13 children. Beth married Kenneth Carl Speth in 1949. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage together. Kenneth died in 1993. They have 6 children, 21 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Grandma has always been a great example to me of hard work. She worked and retired from JC Penney's. After retirement, she spent her time caring for my grandpa as well as volunteering for many organizations. She is always busy and always has a project. Grandma is also very talented. She has a green thumb for gardening and is a master seamstress. She has made countless items for me and my family, including my mom's, my sister's, and my wedding dresses. She also made Addie's blessing gown. Grandma also loves to travel (I must come by this genetically). She has been to Europe, the Middle East, and all over North America. She especially loves going on bus tours. She has also taken the whole family on some very memorable trips. For Christmas one year, we went by bus to the Rose Bowl Parade, Disney Land and San Diego, in 1993 we went to Disney World, and we have also taken a couple of bus trips to St. George and to see Utah's National Parks. I want to wish this amazing mother and grandmother a very happy birthday. Thanks Grandma for all you have done over the years to make my life great! I love you!

Grandma and Donnetta. My aunt Donnetta made all of these scrapbooks of Grandma's world travels. It was fun to look at these books and see all of the wonderful places Grandma has seen on her many trips.
